January is a perfect time to start fresh. Whether that is with new bedding, new decor, new clothes, or the best of all, a new mindset. Let me show you how to beat the January blues in 3 ways…
Quite often after the magical season that we have just experienced, it can leave us feeling a little gloomy, down in the dumps, and generally just feeling a bit blue.
I am here to give you 3 ways to change this feeling, uplift your spirits and begin the new year with your best January yet!
January is the month for dreaming

1. Join a Fitness Class
I know this may not be something you want to hear or you were mostly expecting something in this post to mention exercise. I truly urge you to give a fitness class a shot, it is liberating and will get all the endorphins following in your body to boost your mood immediately. You don’t have to pay either. If the coin is tight after Christmas, whack youtube on and pick even 1 video per week will help give a sense of accomplishment and is a free taste into those magical feelings a workout gives us.
2. Make a Vision Board
Now’s the point to getcha glue stick out, dust your printers off or dig out your magazine collection to get cutting and a sticking.
Grab a piece of paper first a write down what you want out of the year. January is the best month to start as you’ve got a whole 12 months ahead to get as many things ticked off your board as you can. It can be so fun to see your goals in image form and they will stick in your memory better. Chop up some images to represent your goals, stick them on a piece of card, and voila… a visual representation to look at each morning in January to give a boost in your motivation.
3. Set dates for your plans
It’s all well and good having plans for the future but time can slip us by so quickly
*I'm sorry Madonna but time does not pass us by so slowly*. Set those dates! Unwrap your new diary, get your fave pen out and start putting in WHEN you’re going to do these things. Want to meet up with a friend for a cuppa? Arrange a date and jot that down. Want to watch the new rom-com coming out in Feb? put that in too! The reasoning behind this is that when you are feeling low, things can often seem unexciting, weeks up-coming can seem blah, but having something to look forward to will truly give you a spring in your step and lighten up the road ahead making your journey through January more enjoyable.
I do hope that the blue feeling will wash away with the techniques and thank you so much for taking the time to read my post today! x
